Kate Hogan, 3rd Middlesex

Kate Hogan (D – 3rd Middlesex)

Representative Kate Hogan, one of the five openly LGBT members of the Massachusetts General Court, is running for re-election in the 3rd Middlesex District. She was elected to public office in 2009, and now serves as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Public Health. In the past, she has shown her commitment to LGBTQ and women’s issues by co-sponsoring “An Act Relative to Gender Based Discrimination and Hate Crimes” and voting to pass a bill that protects public access to reproductive health care facilities. Two of Hogan’s previous campaigns were supported by the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund, and she has also been endorsed by NARAL and Planned Parenthood. MassEquality PAC is pleased to endorse her re-election campaign.
