Virat Kohli and founder of Cornerstone, Bunty Sajdeh have ended their long-term partnership following India’s loss to Australia in the World final. The reason for their separation has not been disclosed, but there are speculations that Kohli may be starting his own company soon.
In 2020, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions partnered with Cornerstone to form Dharma Cornerstone Agency, while Kohli’s partnership with Cornerstone operated independently.
Bunty not only managed Kohli’s commercial interests and brand value but was also his closest friend. Their more than a decade-long partnership resulted in lucrative deals with companies like Puma.
Reports suggest that Cornerstone prioritized Kohli’s interests over other athletes, leading to the departure of players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Ajinkya Rahane. The company, however, continues to represent athletes like PV Sindhu, Sania Mirza, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yash Dhull.
