Former Australian Cricketer Takes Helm as Gujarat Giants Coach, Replacing Rachael Haynes

The Gujarat Giants have appointed Michael Klinger as their new head coach for the 2024 Women’s Premier League (WPL), replacing Rachael Haynes. Klinger, who previously worked as an assistant coach for the Delhi Capitals and Sydney Thunder, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is excited about the opportunity and is looking forward to working with mentor Mithali Raj and bowling coach Nooshin Al Khadeer.

Mithali Raj expressed confidence in Klinger’s ability to bring out the best in the players, particularly benefiting the younger members of the team with his batting expertise. Klinger, a seasoned T20 campaigner with an impressive record, is eager to lead the Gujarat Giants to success in the upcoming season.

The Giants, who finished at the bottom of the league last year, are hopeful for a turnaround under Klinger’s guidance as they prepare to kick off their campaign against the Mumbai Indians. With Klinger at the helm, the team is optimistic about achieving success in the upcoming season of the WPL.
