Australia all-rounder Cameron Green has gone public with his chronic kidney disease ahead of IPL 2024. Green disclosed that the condition was detected during his mother’s pregnancy scan and there were initial concerns about his survival. He has been a part of Australia’s squads across all formats and is currently with the Australian Test team in the series against Pakistan. Green stated that he has successfully managed his chronic kidney disease throughout his career, with only one significant incident that raised concerns, and has enjoyed a fairly impressive career thus far, having also made appearances in the Big Bash League and the Indian Premier League. He considers himself lucky not to be as affected physically and is currently at stage two of the disease, but emphasizes the importance of slowing the progression of the disease.
