Dhruv Jurel: Rajasthan Royals’ Rising Star earns Debut India Call-up for England Tests

Dhruv Jurel has had a remarkable journey in the world of cricket. The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, has been making waves with his impressive performances in domestic and T20 cricket. His inclusion in India’s Test squad for the first two matches against England came as a surprise to many, but it is a testament to his talent and potential.

Jurel first gained attention when he made his debut in the Indian Premier League with the Rajasthan Royals. Recognizing his potential, the Rajasthan Royals scouted Dhruv before the IPL 2022 mega auction and signed him for a base price of INR 20 lakh. Although he scored 152 runs in 11 IPL innings last year, it was his remarkable strike rate of 172.72 that truly captured everyone’s attention.
