The BCCI Junior Selection Committee has revealed the U-19 men’s squad for the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024. The tournament will begin on January 19 in South Africa, with India placed in Group A alongside Bangladesh, Ireland, and the USA. India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on January 20 in Bloemfontein, followed by matches against Ireland and the USA on January 25th and 28th.
After the group stage, the top three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six phase, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-finals. The final will take place on February 11 at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
India has won the U-19 World Cup five times, and Australia follows closely with the same number of wins. This will be South Africa’s third time hosting the event, having previously done so in 1998 and 2020.
