Sarfaraz, who made his Test debut after years of struggle, scored a half-century before being run out due to Jadeja’s misjudgment. Despite the unfortunate incident, Sarfaraz’s debut was made even more special by his impressive innings. With 62 runs, including nine fours and a six, he also equaled Hardik Pandya’s record for the fastest fifty on his Test debut. India ended the day at 326 for five, thanks to centuries by Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja.
