The BCCI recently extended Rahul Dravid’s head coach contract for Team India (Senior Men), along with the support staff. The announcement came after the Indian cricket team, under Dravid’s leadership, reached the finals of the World Test Championship and the ODI Cricket World Cup. While the duration of his new contract was not specified, BCCI secretary Jay Shah stated that it will be decided after the team returns from South Africa. Dravid’s second tenure with Team India will begin with the Tour of South Africa, followed by a Test series against England and the ICC T20 World Cup. In addition to Dravid, the contracts of batting coach Vikram Rathour, fielding coach T Dilip, and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey have also been extended by BCCI. Dravid was appointed as head coach for a two-year term, which concluded with India finishing as runners-up in the ICC Cricket World Cup.
