Dan Lawrence, who played in two of the four Tests during the 2021 series against India, is set to join the squad. He has played 11 Tests since his debut in 2021, accumulating 551 runs at an average of 29. Lawrence is also a proficient off-break bowler, with recent notable performances in the 2023-24 Big Bash League for the Melbourne Stars.
