The fast bowler had just finished playing in the ODI World Cup and was resting from the current T20I series against Australia. He is expected to be part of the upcoming South Africa tour. During the World Cup, Shami took 24 wickets and played exceptionally well. He also helped the person who had an accident in Nainital by pulling them out of the car.
