Sachin Dhas and Uday Saharan lead India to final with 2-wicket victory over South Africa

India defeat South Africa by 2 wickets to reach U19 World Cup 2024 final

India, five-time champions, beat South Africa by two wickets to advance to the final of the Under-19 World Cup for the ninth time.     

Captain Uday Saharan scored 81 and Sachin Dhas made 96 as they helped India recover from 32/4 to chase down 245 runs.    

India’s win was secured by Saharan and Raj Lambani, who maintained composure to seal the victory in the last over.    

The South African opening partnership of Lhuan-dre Pretorious, who made 76, and Richard Seletswane, who scored 64, helped their team reach 244/7 in 50 overs.     

India’s Raj Limbani and Musheer Khan were the standout bowlers, taking three and two wickets respectively.
