Misbah-ul-Haq’s Controversial Taunts at Shoaib Malik Resurface Amid Sania Mirza Separation

The video was recorded on a popular Pakistan cricket discussion show during the 2022 T20 World Cup. Despite Sania Mirza’s request for privacy, social media platforms have been inundated with discussions regarding veteran Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik’s separation from her. This surge in online chatter comes after the 41-year-old announced his marriage to popular Pakistani actress Sana Javed earlier. Amongst the plethora of comments flooding X and Instagram, an old video has gone viral, featuring former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq taunting Malik about his family issues during a cricket talk show. On Saturday, Malik shared pictures of his wedding ceremony on X. The major announcement came amidst swirling rumors of his separation from Sania. While speculation continued to circulate on social media, the six-time Grand Slam winner and her team released an official statement on Sunday, confirming that they had been divorced for several months. Although the exact moment when the cracks in Malik and Sania’s marriage began to show is difficult to determine, social media has uncovered a video that suggests there were issues in their relationship in 2022. The video was recorded on the set of the popular Pakistan cricket discussion show during the 2022 T20 World Cup. Although it was not broadcast live, the anchor himself captured the footage, possibly for his own social media post. In the video, he asked why Misbah appeared so content on the set. Malik, who was part of the panel alongside the legendary Wasim Akram, responded by saying it was because he was away from his family. In a taunting retort, Misbah remarked, “If a person is going through personal problems, they assume everyone else is facing the same issues.” The day following Malik’s wedding, the esteemed cricketer made his triumphant return to competitive play in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, representing Fortune Barishal.
