De Zorzi and Hendricks lead South Africa to 8-wicket victory over India, tying series 1-1

South Africa and India will compete in the series decider on December 21. Tony de Zorzi’s superb 119 and Nandre Burger’s outstanding bowling helped South Africa level the series against India with a comprehensive win in Gqeberha on December 19. The Proteas dominated the visitors and secured an eight-wicket victory, with Burger taking three wickets for just 30 runs. South Africa never allowed India to take control as they restricted them to a total of 211 runs in 46.2 overs. De Zorzi and Reeza Hendricks broke the record for the highest first-wicket partnership in Port Elizabeth, putting on 130 runs before Hendricks was dismissed. De Zorzi eventually sealed the deal with a six off Sais’ bowling, securing victory for the home side and leveling the series.
