Kavya Maran, CEO of SunRisers Hyderabad, made a strategic acquisition at the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai. She secured Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga for Rs. 1.5 crore, outbidding CSK. Her viral reaction to the deal has been trending on social media.

Earlier, SRH bought Australian skipper Pat Cummins for Rs 20.5 crore. His teammate, Mitchell Starc, was also sold for Rs 24.75 crore to KKR, making him the most expensive player in IPL history.
