Former India opener Kris Srikkanth has voiced his opinion on Jasprit Bumrah’s enigmatic Instagram post that has caused a stir among fans on social media.
On November 28, Jasprit Bumrah sparked curiosity with a cryptic Instagram story that said, “Silence is sometimes the best answer.” Although the context was unclear, fans quickly connected it to Hardik Pandya’s return to Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai Indians confirmed the trade, bringing Hardik back from Gujarat Titans for a significant 15 crore on November 27. Speculation arose that Bumrah might be dissatisfied with the move and there were reports that he even unfollowed MI on Instagram.
In response to Bumrah’s mysterious post, Krishnamachari Srikkanth shared his perspective, suggesting that Bumrah could be affected by Hardik’s trade. Srikkanth acknowledged Bumrah’s unique position as a cricketer excelling in both Tests and white-ball formats. With Bumrah playing a crucial role in the recent World Cup and even leading the Test side during the 2022 series against England, he may be dealing with mixed emotions.
Srikkanth speculated that Bumrah might have regrets or feel hurt, remaining loyal to MI while witnessing the celebration of someone who left and returned. Additionally, Bumrah might see it as unjust that Hardik is now being given a prominent status within the franchise. Srikkanth expressed these views in a video on his YouTube channel.
