Renowned female wrestler Sakshi Malik has announced her retirement from the sport of wrestling after the conclusion of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections. Wrestler Bajrang Punia has expressed concerns regarding the Sports Minister’s statement, indicating that no one associated with Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh would be allowed in the federation. Brij Bhushan’s representative emerged victorious in the election, leading Punia to doubt justice for female athletes. He hopes that the judiciary will rectify the situation and criticized the government for failing to fulfill its promises. Sakshi Malik also spoke out, stating that if Brij Bhushan Singh’s business partner and close aide is elected as the president of WFI, she will quit wrestling.
